Rokka no Yuusha Episode 2: First Journey - Bobble Reviews

There's not too much to say about this episode. Last time, two heroes went on the lam. This time, two heroes are still on the lam. But it's a peaceful lam. They're running through orchards and jazz.

Don't steal food! Trees full of fruit are literally right behind you.

There's a lot of gently riding horses. There's a lot of "aw, that Playboy bunny was a sheltered princess and now she's seeing the world beyond what Great King Hefner can show her." There's a lot of exposition, like what they do when they say that Princess Cutie Bunny is a Brave AND a Saint, making her officially the strongest rabbit. Only girls can be Saints and have the chance at getting both medals, though, probably because this is an anime.

There's a lot of all that and a looooot of just appreciating the wooooooooorld.

Indeed, that's the sun!

Oh, but that's not the real meat of the episode. You know how I know? It's the only part with all this:

I dunno, maybe he's just a big fan of that one Astro Boy story arc.

It's also the part where the heroes save some villagers from dark evil ugly demon fiends!

That's Bunnyears Princess speaking. As you'll recall, she placed first in many, many, many, many fighting tournaments.

But something's not right here. Someone mysterious is still in the village, even after it's been ravaged by death dark evil men! Our red-haired main man Giblet investigates. He finds – gasp! – a bunch of dead fiends with little iron balls in their cavities, as if they were maybe shot! He takes one orb out and eats at it to see what's covering it. He doesn't lick the gunpowder. He eats off it. He eats it like it's fruit.

The person who's been killing them (and who seems to be ready to kill Cutlet too) is none other than Little Miss My-Parents-Wanted-The-Next-Annie-Oakley herself...Fremy Speeddraw.

Must be hot outsi— oh, forgot about what every other character was wearing.

But don't worry, she's probably gonna be good guy soon. Also, across town, some knight named Goodloaf or something comes to serve the Strongest Rabbit. That's even better!
